Analog ASIC Success

Silansys is pleased to announce that it has started production shipments of a 225C high-performance sensor ASIC for Oil and Gas applications.  The custom ASIC product integrates of high performance analog and mixed-signal functions and completed product qualification in 2012.  The ASIC successfully completed field trials under high pressure and extreme temperature conditions in Q2 2013.

The ASIC was delivered on schedule and to specification.   The production milestone marks another significant success for the highly experienced team in Silansys, who had previously won a Supplier Excellence Award from Texas Instruments Inc.

The ASIC was developed and delivered as a turnkey product.  The product is tested and qualified to very demanding quality and reliability requirements that exceed MIL-STD 883 2010.  The first production batch of 25 wafers achieved in excess of 92% yield to the agreed product specification, and was wafer probed at high temperature.

HiTEN Conference July 2013

Silansys is a leading developer of highly-integrated Mixed-Signal ASIC products for high temperature applications. Silansys has successfully developed and is in production with high-performance sensor and communications ASIC products for operation over the full product lifetime at temperatures up-to 225C for Oil and Gas applications.   The products have been undergone both high temperature and high pressure testing in addition to extensive field testing by a leading Oil and Gas OEM and exceed the target performance requirements in the end application.

The objective of the HiTEN Conference is to have a unique forum that brings together researchers and practitioners in academia and industry from all over the world. All styles of practical high temperature electronics design and implementation approaches are encouraged, along with a variety of high temperature application areas. Today the main semiconductor focus of HITEN is silicon and silicon on insulator (SOI).  Although, HITEN is not simply a semiconductor focused network. HITEN provides a conduit for the exchange and dissemination of information on all aspects of high temperature electronics. It is a global network with users, suppliers, developers and fundamental researchers dealing in all aspects of High Temperature Electronics.

The 2013 conference will be held on July 8-10 2013 at St. Catherine’s College in Oxford, UK, with attendees from a wide range of industries including Oil and Gas, Automotive, Aerospace and also from academia.
